Under water:  Blue jellies 😀

Above the Earth:  My first and NASA’s last shuttle launch – Shuttle Atlantis launches into the wide open blue sky from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, USA.

Earth Day in High Def

NASA’s ‘Blue Marble’ image, taken on Jan 4, 2012, has been hailed the “most amazing high definition image of Earth.”  Online views have reached nearly 4,000,000, accumulating more than 500 comments and 5,000 favorites.  The photo was taken from one of five instruments on board NASA’s Suomi NPP, “the first of a new generation of Earth research satellites that will observe many facets of our changing Earth.”

What an amazing view for Earth Day!
